PARENTS RESPONSIBILITIES AND PARTICIPATION

We are a family Club and welcome and encourage parents to become involved. Each team requires a Team Manager to assist the coach with game day duties, distribution of newsletters, fixtures and roster of parent help with scoring. On game day we need players to arrive on time for their warm up, usually half an hour before the game time. As netball is a team sport we require that all players attend training and are picked up punctually.

REPRESENTATIVE OPPORTUNITIES

Apart from playing for the club, players in certain age groups are given the opportunity during the season to trail and be selected in the Associations Representative, Regional or Carnival Teams. Selected players will take part in a series of tournaments throughout Melbourne, Country and Interstate venues. Our club encourages the girls to try out for the selection. We presently have a number of players in Representative Teams.

UMPIRES: During the course of each competition the club needs to provide an umpire for each team. In this respect, the club supports our umpires with training. The club encourages our players to become umpires and wages apply. Spectators and players need to respect the umpires decisions at all times.

COACHES

The club will provide a qualified person/s to coach each team. This is a voluntary position and all our coaches appreciate the support of both players and parents. The club supports our coaches with coaching co-ordinators and accredited coaching training.
