WAVERLEY NIGHT NETBALL ASSOCIATION INC Statement: COVID-19 UPDATE

A message from Waverley Netball Centre:

WMNC Committee supports the decision taken by the centre and we will be back in contact should this situation change.

Waverley Night Netball Association Inc. is taking the utmost care in staying up to date with news as developments arise.

While cancelling Netball is heartbreaking, we see this as the only decision possible to support the community’s efforts to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The advice from government is that from Monday 16th March, all non-essential, organised mass gatherings of 500 or more should be cancelled. Whilst not all our competitions and programs reach this figure. The health and wellbeing of our Netball community, players, coaches, umpires and staff is of the utmost importance.

Until further notice the Waverley Netball Centre will be closed for all Waverley Night Netball Association and Waverley Netball Centre programs, competitions and trainings.

We would like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience as we work through this rapidly changing situation. A decision to cancel is not something we take lightly and wish to reassure the Waverley Netball community that we will continue to work with the relevant authorities to enable a return to Netball as soon as possible.

We will keep everyone up to date as we receive further information.
